Catherine Hawkins, Publisher
Catherine Hawkins is a commercial specialist with over 13 years 
experience in the sales and sponsorship sector. She started
her career in advertising sales, quickly rising to Sales Director
at publishing house Cabbell Publishing before moving to
online advertising network ad pepper, where she was
responsible for driving inventory sales throughout Europe as Business Development Director. After a successful period as
Group Sales Manager for Sport Business International, she launched Communicate Sport in October 2002. Catherine specialises in working with sponsorship-seekers to identify assets and opportunities within organisations with the goal of converting these into revenue-generating & sustainable commercial programmes. Under Catherine’s guidance, Communicate Sport has developed & created a number of tools for the sponsorship industry including the largest one-day sponsorship conference in the UK - Think!Sponsorship.
Catherine has worked with a number of rights-holders in developing their sponsorship programme and opportunities across the arts, sports, charity, entertainment & business sectors. She is an active proponent of sponsorship best-practice and runs a small-working group for the arts sector as well as the Brand Think!Tank – a sponsor only group. Catherine is publisher of sponsorship’s trade magazine ‘Platform’ having bought the incumbent Sponsorship News title in 2009.
Louella Miles, Editor, Platform Magazine
Louella Miles is an experienced business journalist and author. A former managing editor of Marketing magazine, she was one of the first to cover sponsorship as a topic in its own right in the UK and has authored a number of management reports, including
What Price Corporate Reputation for Haymarket Publishing and Successful Sports Sponsorship for the International Forum of Sponsorship.
She is the co-founder of Writers4Management, a professional writing service and along with her business partner Laura Mazur has written Conversations with Marketing Masters and Conversations with Green Gurus, both published by John Wiley. Louella also edits a magazine and a journal for the Association for Qualitative Research.
