Naming Rights: Huddersfield naming rights up for grabs
Published: 04/03/2010

Huddersfield Town Football Club is looking for a new naming rights partner for its stadium after it emerged that Galpharm’s deal is to end after six years.

The arena, which is also home to the Huddersfield Giants rugby league team, has previously been called the Kirklees Stadium and the McAlpine Stadium.

Managing director Ralph Rimmer is confident of attracting a high-profile partner despite the economic climate.

“It’s a very special property and one that doesn’t become available very often,” he said.

“The mix of brand exposure, hospitality and direct marketing opportunities make it a unique package. I will now be taking it to market and expect interest to be substantial.”
